Scotty was my first Malamute, everything started with him. I wanted to have show dog but I didn't really know how to find good breeder. Scotty was the result - woolly one with health problems. Fortunately his temperament was wonderful and he was extremely intelligent either, the smartest dog I ever met. So my bad choice of breeder wasn't totally unlucky. Scotty was never questioned alfa of our Malamute pack, I can say all my dogs till 2009 were brought up by him. With Scotty you really couldn't think "it's only a dog". He had something royal in appearance, even when was one year old he looked like sage old man. He was real king, so wise, unbelieveable intelligent, powerful, proud, always strided with dignity to all his goals - he was this type which never try to do something, he just did it. Could assess every situation perfectly and his intelligence surprised me many times, teaching me what the real Malamute is and how to be alfa of the pack. Almost everything I know about canine pack behavior I learned from this unique dog. He was also a wonderful dog to work with. When we competed in dog racings he was amazingly cooperative, always watching on me, pulling with speed best for me, knowing how to help me. I didn't experience this kind of cooperation with any other dog - running together we were literally like one perfectly moving body. Now Scotty is the king of our pack on the other side of Rainbow Bridge, with my sweetest girl Candy, which he loved like no other dog... I miss him so much...
